About Our Stud

Saber Poll Dorset Stud was founded in 1958 and has been breeding Rams ever since. Steve and Linda took over management of the stud in 2011 from Steve's father Rod. Rod remains involved with the stud as a mentor.

Here at Saber we continue to invest heavily in Genetics aiming at breeding Rams that produce quick maturing, early growth lambs with good muscling. We are now working on strengthening the eating quality of our sheep with a focus on tenderness and intra muscular fat.

Through the programs that we are involved with our aim is to be able to assist our clients with their breeding objectives by providing quality rams that are objectively measured and can improve their operation's productivity and importantly profitability.

At Saber Poll Dorset Stud we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love.
